Apricus issued Hot Water Tank patent in Australia

Apricus has been issued an Australian invention patent entitled "Hotwater Tank".  The US patent for the same set of novel designs is currently pending.

The patent claims are as follows:

A hot water storage tank having features to minimize heat loss and improve stratification throughout the tank. The tank having an inner lid and outer lid. The tank having a bladder. A tank having a solar stratification input pipe, the solar stratification input pipe having one or more holes, the one or more holes allowing the fluid to exit the solar stratification input pipe at a level where the fluid is of similar density to the fluid in the tank maintaining stratification throughout the tank, and the solar stratification input pipe being located within the tank and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tank.

Apricus is actively completing R&D into products which incorporate these newly patented design features.

Founded in 2003 by Australian Mick Humphreys with a specific focus on solar thermal solutions, Apricus has since grown into a global company with distribution and support offices worldwide.
